Chase Miller and the No. 9 Verizon Wireless-Motorola Dodge Charger head to Texas Motor Speedway

Canton, GA – Chase Miller and the No. 9 Verizon Wireless-Motorola Dodge are heading to Texas Motor Speedway this weekend with momentum in their favor. The 21-year-old recorded a career-best sixth place finish at Memphis last weekend in the No. 9 Verizon Wireless-Motorola Dodge Charger.
Miller will be making only his 13th NASCAR Nationwide Series start of the 2008 season.  He has competed six times this season while sporting the Verizon Wireless-Motorola banners, scoring two top tens (8th-Darlington, 6th-Memphis) in the Nationwide Series and a top five(3rd place) at the August Pocono Arca event.
“It is such a privilege to drive the No. 9 Verizon Wireless-Motorola Dodge Charger at the Texas Motor Speedway.  I have been able to do several appearances with Verizon Wireless in Texas and the fans are great. Texas is special because I have a lot of family and friends in Texas that will be at the race.”
Miller, who runs a partial schedule in the Gillett Evernham No. 9 Dodge, was back behind the wheel last week at Memphis after being off for several weeks. It was his first time to work with Wally Rogers, crew chief.  Miller posted his second top ten and career best finish of sixth.
“Wally Rogers was our crew chief for the first time last weekend at Memphis and we had a really competitive racecar. We talked about what to expect at Texas and he told me that it’s his favorite track and he’s had some success (as a crew chief) there. I’m pretty confident going into this weekend with a brand new car and Mr. Rogers calling the shots.”
“We ran extremely well last weekend at Memphis and now we’re excited to get back on the racetrack and build on our last race and take it to the next level.”
While in Texas, Chase Miller will be appearing Thursday, October 30th at the Verizon Wireless Store, 1489 W Pipeline Dr, Hurst, TX from 3:00PM – 5:00PM.
The NASCAR Nationwide Series returns to the racetrack Saturday, November 1st at Texas Motor Speedway. ESPN 2 and PRN Radio will broadcast the event which begins at 3:30 p.m. ET.
